In this week's online class, Mr. Martin reminded the students to speed up and collected the information of the final project. I intend to finish the final task with another classmate. We reported the information to the teacher and began to discuss it. Mr. Martin is not talking about anything new, but reminding the students to finish the final task as soon as possible.
INTRODUCTION
Animated Infographics

The dynamic graphics need to show that you can transform the static design into time-based communication, and improve clarity, hierarchy and aesthetics in the process.
By completing this project, you need to demonstrate the following abilities:
Transform static infographic into time-driven visual narrative.
Use motion principles to enhance clarity, rhythm and attraction.
Maintain a consistent design language between posters and animations.
Clearly convey instructions to the target audience within a limited time (60 seconds)
The core of this project is to transform the static poster made by Project 1 into a 60-second dynamic video. This process will optimize and reconstruct the original design to improve the clarity of information, hierarchical structure and overall aesthetic feeling.
In the production process, designers need to reorganize the information based on the original poster material, combined with animation, sound and music, and make a video with a sense of rhythm and guiding visual narrative. At the same time, we must maintain a consistent visual language between animation and static design to ensure the overall style is unified.
The project emphasizes the information transmission through motion principles, including rhythm control, visual guidance and so on, so as to clearly convey the complete food preparation method within a limited time of 60 seconds.
Before the task began, Mr. Martin asked us to choose whether to finish the homework individually or in groups of two. After my consideration, I decided to form a partner with another classmate to finish this task.
According to the requirements, first of all, you need to choose a video as the theme in the channel of Grandma Noodle. Since this task coincides with that in project one, we intend to use certain materials. After discussion and evaluation of our own abilities, we chose the video of 99-year-old Rina's delicious pasta. The overall content of this video is relatively simple and there are relatively few processes, but the structure is relatively clear, which is convenient for us to make dynamic processes. We integrated and discussed the information in the video, and finally found some videos for reference. Next, you need to determine the tone of the whole video, such as color, font, style and so on. However, with the preparation in project one, we quickly laid the foundation.
According to the requirements, first we need to determine the content of the Storyboard. At teacher Martin's suggestion, we both drew some mirrors. I watched the video repeatedly, and combined with the previous content in project one, I roughly determined some shots. This is the part of the Storyboard I drew.
After giving feedback to Mr. Martin, he said that we need to make a more detailed animatic. So, as before, the two of us each made a version of the animatic, and finally made a comparative analysis and discussion to determine the final result and facilitate the production of the video. I referred to the PPT given by Mr. Martin, and searched the definition and requirements of animatic. animatic mainly has the following characteristics: presenting information in the time dimension, guiding the audience to understand the content in order through rhythm and movement, requiring clear information, reasonable typesetting and complete content; animatic design emphasizes time logic, rhythm control and style consistency. On the basis of the previous work, I designed the animatic.
After that, I had some communication with my partner. We exchanged the animatic we made, and I found that her animatic was more dynamic and had the change and displacement of the camera lens, so I decided to make a video with reference to her animatic. At the same time, I made some suggestions to her, such as the part of the middle text description can be more regular and so on. I hope the video content can be more abundant, so I looked for some references and made a background using the previous material.
After discussion with my partner, we decided to use its background as the background of the three text descriptions of ingredients display, step one and step two.
In our idea, the video split is divided into two parts. After discussion, my partner is responsible for making the first half and I am responsible for making the second half.
According to the contents in the animatic, The second part started with a display of ingredients. In order, I placed Vegetables, minced meat and cheese. in AE in turn and made dynamic effects.
The next step is the process of cutting vegetables and making vegetable pieces. In the process of making, I think the animatic made in front of me is a little repetitive, so I plan to simplify it. This is a animatic that I recreated on the original basis.
When making camera movement, my partner found that the material was not very clear after amplification, and there was camera movement in this part of my production, so I decided to use ai, a software used to make vector pictures, to improve the material again. First of all, I import the previously drawn material into Adobe Illustrator, and make vector graphics in Adobe Illustrator based on this.
After I finished, I exported these graphics and gave them to my partner, who replaced the original materials and presented a much better effect. I also started to make the camera movement part according to the animatic of this part.
The indispensable part of the video is the background music, and the video atmosphere in the channel Granny Spaghetti is fresh and relaxed, so we decided to look for pure music with a relaxed style. After the first screening, we chose some music as an alternative, and finally we chose one of them because it fits the theme of the video we made.
After finishing all the pictures, we began to add sound effects. According to the produced pictures, we decided to use some small and lightweight sound effects. For example, the sound of eggs hitting the bowl, the sound of stirring, the sound of cutting vegetables and so on.

REFLECTION
Experience
In the course of Information Design, I have a deeper understanding of the way of visual organization and information transmission. In course projects and group discussions, I learned how to use design elements such as fonts, colors, layout and images to make the information more clear. This experience made me realize that information design is not only to make the work look beautiful, but more importantly, to make the audience understand the information easily.
Observation
In the process of finishing my homework, I observed that good information design needs clear structure and clear visual hierarchy, so preliminary research and planning are very important. When the information is reasonably organized, the audience can understand the content more easily. Consistency in design is very important, for example, using the same fonts and colors can form a unified visual style for the whole project. In addition, although visual effects and images can attract attention, they still need to be related to the theme and keep in touch with the overall design.
Findings
Information design is a process of balancing creativity and function. We need to think carefully about the presentation of information to make it visually attractive and easy to understand. Learning this course has helped me to improve my ability to organize information, express it visually and think critically about design decisions. These skills will help me to study more systematically.
