PART 1: IDEA DEVELOPMENT (WEEK 10)


1. Write a biography about yourself


INTRO

My name is Guan Yaxin. I am 19 years old. I was born in Dongying, a small city in Shandong Province. I am an undergraduate student and am currently studying in Taylorland University, majoring in creative Media Design. I like listening to music, painting, riding bicycles and so on. My favorite animal is rabbit, and I really hope to have a pet of my own.

PARAGRAPH 1

In general, I am a relatively introverted person, but sometimes I can be very lively, especially when I am with familiar people. But actually I'm sensitive, I'm very concerned about what the outside world thinks of me, and I'm not very social, I prefer to be alone rather than interacting with other people. In fact, I really want to establish stable and good relationships with others, but unfortunately, I seem to have difficulty in doing so.

PARAGRAPH 2

In daily life, I am more casual and have a good state of mind, but at the same time, I am also prone to anxiety, which will make me very uncomfortable, but under normal circumstances, I can solve it more quickly. But anxiety this bad mood in my body does appear a lot of times, I have some distress. I'm good-natured and patient, but that doesn't mean I can't get angry. But anger is a bad emotion, I will try to control it. My perseverance is not very strong, but I need to develop the ability to be tough, because this quality is important to my life.

SUMMARY

To sum up, I have a relatively clear understanding of my own position, and the most important thing is whether I can successfully correct my shortcomings. I am working towards this goal. I sincerely hope that I can learn useful knowledge and improve my ability in these three years of study. At the same time, I hope that I can become the ideal of myself

INTRO

In today's fast-paced life, we crave peace and relaxation and may miss our childhood. The flow of time is abstract, yet real. The good memories have faded, but they are definitely there, and they once warmed our lives. With the further modernization of society, the trend of retro also began to emerge. They do not represent backwardness, but the unique brand of the era

PARAGRAPH 1

I'm a more nostalgic person, so I'm going to use a vintage style for this assignment. At the birth of photography, the world shown in photographs was black and white. Later, with the development of technology, we got color photos. But the color of black and white represents classics and has become a unique symbol of an era. In our life, retro has also become a trend.

PARAGRAPH 2

Using retro style does not mean using only black and white colors, and black and white colors are not vintage standard. Darker shades are also part of the retro look. The saturation of this hue is also usually low, showing a unique sense of premium. Like ochre and dark brown.

SUMMARY

In general, I will use my own black and white photos and some low harmony tones, and add elements about exploring my own personality/mood to complete the assignment

ARTIST STATEMENT: 

I am not a very cheerful person, there are some introverts, I will continue to immerse myself in my own world, but often feel lonely. Sometimes I think I am dull, so I use my black and white photos as the main body. In fact, I am eager to establish a good and stable relationship with others and get positive feedback, so I want to show some of my own emotions through my work.
