Week 6
After preliminary preparation, we began to make task 3. According to the design drawings of our group designers, I made some prototype renderings.
In the online instruction class, the teacher in charge of our group gave feedback. He pointed out that the patterns of the outer packaging could be richer, so the group designer made some changes to the patterns drawn before.
As we need to make physical objects, we have prepared some materials. According to the model we made, we prepared materials such as paper shell, cardboard and clay. Paper shell and cardboard were used to make outer packaging, and clay was used to make the model of morning tea snacks.
Our instructor put forward opinions on our design in the feedback class. We need to add some Cantonese culture, and the structural schematic diagram should be more careful, so our group leader and designer colored the previous design with reference to Guangzhou porcelain.

I made typesetting and prototype.
Before making the real thing, the instructor told us that the added Guangdong elements were not obvious enough and there were some problems in color matching, so after discussion, the designer added lace to the design drawing and changed the color of the font.
I remade the prototype, which is the final design.
Week 7
The members of the whole group made the final object together. Some team members are responsible for making boxes, while others are responsible for making models of morning tea snacks.
We need to make a box out of cardboard, and we need to carefully measure the length and width of each side, especially when making the lid. It takes us a long time to cut and trim some next time to ensure that it can cover the box at the bottom perfectly.
It also took us a long time to make the squares in the middle of the box, because we need to get them stuck inside the box. Sometimes our measurement is not very accurate and needs to be cut again. After our efforts, we finally succeeded in making the internal structure.
It is also not easy to make the model of morning tea snacks. We need to make more regular models with plasticine of different colors. In this process, we also have some failed examples (not good enough models). After our screening, we chose some different models as the final results.
We not only need to make cartons, but also need to embody our design drawings in real objects, so we decided to print the design drawings and paste them on the cartons. These are different design drawings.
We worked together to complete the pasting of carton outer packaging, and finally perfected and trimmed it within our capacity. The paper shell part of the external package is not particularly easy to make, so we decided to use cardboard, and then stick and fix them to make an openable shell. The upper two handles are also made of cardboard, so that the morning tea package can be lifted as long as there are supports (such as chopsticks, etc.).
In task3, we need to make some videos to describe and show the process and experience of completing the task. On the basis of my written copy, we have made a division of labor. I am responsible for making the second part, the third part and the fifth part.This is the video I made.
After completing the video, we found that there was some duplication between the introduction part and the second and third parts. After discussion, the second and third parts I made were removed.

REFLECTION
Experience
In the whole process, although faced with many challenges, but a lot of gains. This group assignment tests our communication ability, practical ability and cooperation ability, and also brings me into contact with the theme of daily design, and has a preliminary understanding of its concept, form and so on. Although we faced many difficulties, such as changes in design, preparation of materials, obstacles encountered in making objects, etc., we worked together and faced them positively. Through the efforts and continuous improvement of the whole team, we got the final result. When completing the task, we should pay attention to communication, so as to make efficiency higher and not do useless work. Both the process and the result are very important. We should enjoy the process, study it with a serious and careful attitude, and complete it, so that we can finally get a satisfactory result.
Observation
Making the real thing is a very test of hands-on ability. After all, there are some small parts that need our attention, such as size measurement, attention to details when cutting and so on. At the same time, how to describe and draw ideas (such as making design drawings, etc.) and turn design drawings into objects is also a challenging thing. Sometimes we just have the ability to imagine, but we don't have the ability to realize it, so we need to pay attention to continue these, continue to improve ourselves and improve ourselves.
Findings
Daily design covers a wide range of aspects, not only needs certain aesthetic ability, design ability and drawing ability, but also needs the assistance of planning ability and hands-on ability. It is very important for daily design to have certain creativity, and it also needs to be combined with the big theme-cross-cultural design, so it is a challenge for us and gives us a way to exercise ourselves. It is very meaningful to study this course.
